So yesterday I went with Shilo to get his tattoo(I know Phil will like his). I think just being there was what I needed. Today I am going to get mine.

I need to get in shape...

Well i decided to work some more on Ashe's wedding dress. I guess announcing it for next year got me all pumped and i just had to start on it! So I'm putting my focus on the veil right now. Things are going super good right now. OblivionJenova gave me some wonderful tips on dying feathers that i couldn't be more thankful for <3 The owner of www.rainbowfeatherco.com is sending me a few samples of feathers because I'm having a bit of a hard time deciding on what feathers to use on the headdress. I might go with trimmed ostrich for the super long ones. I wanted to use pheasant but the color can't be removed, they are too fragile.
I'm working on the Veil now. Did you know that freakin thing has 4 layers!! Yeah, insanity. This is why I'm doing one part at a time!

I'll post progress pictures as soon as the veil is done!

I hear fireworks but I cannot see them.
This makes me sad.

Weekend was alright. It rained and we skipped the fireworks here. Next weekend will make up for it though.
I started working on small pieces of the wedding dress, mainly ornaments that hang from the veil. I'm getting brain damage from the enamel and I'm running low on paint brushes.

My next large cosplay project to be completed after this years con-season is over will be Ashe's Wedding Dress.

I've been on the fence with whether or not to attempt it, but I really think I can do this.

I'm purchasing teal pheasant feathers right now.

I am up really early so i figured I'd give you all an update before i head off to work.
This weekend was quite interesting to say the least. Shilo and I headed into Boston early Saturday morning to be greeted by the Pride Festival going on. I had no idea it was this weekend so it was a great surprise for us who planned on doing nothing! We made it just in time for the parade, which was fascinating. Seeing so many people get together like that was just simply incredible! I got video of it so as soon as i convert and put the clips together, I'll post it up on youtube. My camera takes video in a weird format so it is a hassle to edit them.

This week I plan on finishing a few things; My mermaid for CTcon and I'm finishing up a khaki colored skirt for my Mai http://www.absoluteanime.com/mai-hime/mai%5B2%5D.jpg which I'll wear to the cosplay field trip. I'm really debating on whether to dye my hair or get a wig for this. I'm getting a few patterns so I can start on Luna's dress http://media.lost-edens.com/images/articles/lunar-silver-star-story-complete/lunar-silver-star-story-complete-1.jpg, and Mai's jacket. Mercedes is on hold for now. I don't want to get myself too overwhelmed so don't think I've forgotten her!

Sometimes I write up a long entry about how I feel, then I end up deleting it because I am afraid of what someone might think. I know that sounds kind of silly, but lately whenever I speak my mind I get shot down by someone important and i really thought that they would care.

I got a little bummed out, because it seems like everyone had one. Growing up, i guess i felt more of a connection to animal characters than being a princess. I'm a weirdo, I know.

I miss the days where i had a distracting community to help me fill this void of staring at the computer screen. Long ago i was active in neopets, which transitioned into gaiaonline then moved into ragnarok online. Now i have nothing and i feel kind of empty. the forums i visit now are just not active enough or i'm just not interested.

give me something to pass the time! i'm tired of staring at the same thing for hours. i dont know how or why it is done but i just spend 2 hours here and i dont know what i did :/




PS. I'm getting used to my glasses.

Well 1 week ago I got my eyes examined. Today i got my new glasses. I have astigmatism and the doctor didn't even tell me. I would have liked to have asked more questions about it and how much my new glasses would affect me but i couldn't. I didn't find out until I put on my new glasses and said how weird everything looked and the lady was like, "Oh thats because of the astigmatism." I was like, "uhhh do you have the right records? He didn't tell me I had that."

My hand-eye coordination is really off. Things at an angle look smushed and my computer looks like a V shape instead of a perfect square.
I'm happy that everything isn't fuzzy. Everything is really sharp and clear and I'm starting to adjust to the wonkieness. I'll be more happy when everything looks normal again though, and when i don't go to take a step and the floor isn't further away than it seems.

My weekend was fun as usual! As you see, Sunday was beautiful and we got some nice shots outside at the church.

It was a little too bright and in most of the photos I'm squinting and making a funny forced smile so I only uploaded two, but I'm pleased with them! I'll update my forgotten website eventually with them! Shi also took me out to lunch at Kagawa then into Boston to see a Ironman. We also had a Clone Wars weekend and Icecreram from DQ! It all seems so simple, but it makes me so happy!

I love My white mage gown so much. I'm extremely proud of myself for that creation! It is so comfy and has some wonderful memories. Wearing it to the ball, really made me feel like a princess. When Shilo and I danced, it was like a dream. I can't help but smile foolishly when I think about it!

I'm breaking out my sewing machine tonight, finally!! I'm going to finish my mermaid and sift through some of my fabrics for some things I have coming up. More info soon on definite things to come and maybe some WIP pics!

Not even rainclouds can ruin my sunny disposition right now ^__^

I just got back from the eye doctors.

I'm getting new glasses and my insurance payed for it. I'm very relieved!

For the past few months I've been getting a shitload of messages for Russian brides, Penis Enlarger Pills and the like. Most make it through to my junk mail folder but i was beginning to wonder, where the hell did they get my email? Recently I got one that I opened mentioning STICKAM. I immediately went to the site and deleted my account, putting down "Spam Messages via email" as my reason for leaving. No loss to me since I never used the site once.

This morning i wake to 26... TWENTY FUCKING SIX emails saying the same thing...

Seriously. I wish MSN/Hotmail had a word blocker. Or some kind of auto reply for people like this... like send out 1000 emails back to the spammer or something!
